Griswold Train Signals

Posted by wizkid1 - September 18th, 2008

I was surfing the YouTube, and I found a pair of Griswold train signals - Rarer than wigwags!
Here's the three embeds:

.
/* */
Above - A Griswold with aftermarket signs.
Below - A Griswold wit the origional stop signs.
Bottom: True Wig-wag signals on a vehicle (=-)

.
/* */

.
/* */
And if you thought that was something...

I get carried away. The image is of my Great Dane, 'Sasha.'

Nice post

Thanks! I had really liked wigwags and one day I saw a link in Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.org) and clicked on it. I saw a drawing of a Griswold but it was very fuzzy, and once I saw it clearly I thought "Oh my god. These cheap things people call safety devices are replacing THESE?!?" So I went and searched GRISWOLD on YouTube, and the top comes up. After a few days of clicking things in the RELATED bin and about 30 bookmarks I find "Chasing Tidewater". It had the origional (and I don't care if the spellcheck says i misspelled it) yellow signs on the Griswold. Now, below, I found about an hour before finding the CHASING TIDEWATER. Those are true wigwags. People seem to be getting WIGWAG SIGNALS and ALTERNATING LIGHTS mixed up. And yes, it's true, I included Sasha for shits and giggles.
